Profile: 4 D Technology Corp. designs and manufactures Dynamic Interferometry® products for accurate measurement of optical grade surfaces, even in the presence of vibration and air turbulence. The PhaseCam™ 6000 is a compact & lightweight dynamic laser interferometer. With an easy-to-position, fiber-coupled measurement head & motorized controls, it is ideal for on-machine metrology, remote mounting in measurement towers or pressure vessels, and other environments. It incorporates a high-speed optical phase sensor that makes wavefront measurements in as little as 30 microseconds, that is over 5000 times faster than a phase shifting interferometer. Such short acquisition time means this can be used in the noisiest environments, without vibration isolation or turbulence control. It's applications include measurement of large, focal optical systems such as concave telescope mirrors and lens systems, as well as deformable mirrors and adaptive optics. The FizCam™ 2000 interferometer combines vibration insensitivity & instantaneous phase measurement for highly accurate characterization of telescope and general-purpose optics. The system simultaneously captures four phase-shifted interference patterns, allowing high-resolution measurement despite vibration and air turbulence.
