Profile: AMB Engineering (UK) Ltd. is a dynamic balancing service provider. We cover various applications and equipment within the industrial & automotive sector. We balance a wide variety of rotors including electric armatures, wound rotors, cast rotors, fans, pulleys, couplings, gears, impellors, rolls and crankshafts. We use microprocessor based balancing instrument to balance all types of rotors. This instrument is connected to a soft-bearing balancing machine which is a solution in obtaining low levels of residual unbalance. We also provide prototype component balancing services. On-site balancing and vibration analysis are also provided by us with our portable equipment. One of our computerized equipment carries out 1-plane and 2-plane balance configurations on a wide variety of rotating equipment. We employ flywheel for lightening works. It has a substantial effect on engine acceleration, thus reducing vehicle acceleration times. Machining is carried out on our 3 axis CNC turret milling machine. We also balance con rods on our equipment to match end for end mass and big end mass symmetry. In-Block balancing is the method we practice to balance the rotating engine components. This method takes into account the rotating part of the con-rod, and is true for asymmetrical crankshafts whose asymmetrical design requires the use of compensation weights to be attached when balancing in the conventional way.
