Profile: Abbey Spun Cast is a producer of centrifugal spun castings. Our alloy range comprises of bars, hollows, flats and plate. We specialize in phosphor bronze, gun metal, aluminium bronze, brass, copper and cast iron. We practice the centrifugal casting process in metallic and graphite tooling under high acceleration. It creates pressure in the alloy which rejects impurities towards and out of the bore. This method gives a fine structured alloy that is dense, homogeneous, free from inclusions and blow holes. The mechanical properties can be obtained to a great extent. This method of casting is suitable for cylindrical hollows, rings, tubes, flanges and spigot bearings. Castings can be supplied by us in split or segmented form.
