Description: MONARC-SS is a heavy coated Rutile type AC-DC (+/-) electrode used for major structural work. It is an all position electrode giving excellent performance even in vertical and overhead welding. It can be used as touch electrode. Due to high stability, it is easy to strike and restrike. The weld metal is of radiographic quality. The arc is calm, smooth, and steady. The spatter is extremely low. The slag comes off easily leaving the shining bead with even ripples-and excellent profile. These electrodes can be used in bridges, pressure vessels, ship construction, storage tanks, automobile bodies, and railways wagons.
