Profile: Acutronic U. S. A., Inc. is a provider of flight motion simulators and inertial guidance test equipment. Rotary motion tables are designed to provide angular rate stimuli, acceleration and position to sensors such as gyroscopes, accelerometers & inertial platforms. Therefore, they are also called rate and positioning tables or inertial guidance test systems, & typically comprise one, two or three-axis tables for inertial sensor testing. Precision, pre-loaded bearings define the axes. A machined tabletop, or closed gimbal with a defined hole pattern interfaces with the unit under test (UUT). Slip-rings or twist cables are used to take the UUT signals from the tabletop to the table base. The advanced universal controller Acutrol®3000 controls the tables, although for low-cost systems a commercial off the shelf (COTS) controller may be used. Centrifuge systems are designed for the development, test, evaluation and calibration of accelerometers & a variety of inertial devices. Centrifuges provide an effective solution for the simulation of high-G environments in a laboratory. They support testing of devices such as MEMS-based inertial measurement units (IMUs), quartz or silicon sensors, ring laser gyros (RLGs), fiber-optic gyros (FOGs), fuses and crash sensors.
