Air Pre-heaters

Description: Air Pre-Heater is an auxiliary equipment that is used for energy recovery in steam boilers. It is a heat exchanger that absorbs heat from the exit flue gas in boiler and transfers the heat to the cold air. In utility and process boilers, it is used to heat the air required for combustion, increasing the overall efficiency of the plant. Air pre-heaters are broadly classified as recuperative type (tubular heater, plate type heater and steam coil heater) and regenerative type (Ljungstorm APH and Rothemuhle APH). Efficient heat transfer surfaces and counterflow arrangements make air pre-heater a vital and efficient heat exchanger. It is used in industries such as power generation & transmission, industry, transportation, telecommunication, renewable energy, and defence.
