Our Aquavator is designed to serve private residences and comply with the elevator safety code A18.1-2005. A hydraulic cylinder raises and lowers the car between two floors. Water is used as the hydraulic fluid along with PVC pipes, thereby avoiding corrosion, environmental impacts and all the other problems associated with oil & metal. The system is especially compatible with corrosive environments such as those found in coastal residences, but desirable in homes everywhere. The standard dimensions of this elevator cab are approximately 15 sq. ft.; customized configurations vary from 12-18 square feet. The maximum load is 750 pounds/the weight of 4 people, whichever is less. The cylinder is of a sufficient diameter to reduce the pressure requirement and is hydraulically powered & controlled by high efficiency pumps & valves.
