On the other hand, vacuum forming or thermo-forming we practice, is a process where the component is made from a flat plastic sheet which is heated until soft. It is then stretched over a mold or pattern, then sucked down tightly with a vacuum. Press forming is another service we present with. The materials most suitable for this process are cast acrylics and pressed rigid PVC. These materials when at their optimum forming temperature become thermo elastic and exert a considerable resistive force against the tooling.
