Ball Screws
Description: U-Tech Associates who have joined hands with Shuton, a European company in Spain who manufacture ball screws. A ball screw is essentially a power screw having a set of balls rolling between the screw and nuts, as in a ball bearing. A re-circulating track is built into the nut, so that the same balls are reused as the nuts rides along the screw. Since the balls replace the sliding friction in conventional power screws by rolling friction, the ball efficiency of the ball screws is high, typically 70-90%. The ball screws offer diameters of 25mm to125mm and can go up to a length of 12 meters. These ball screws are available in every conceivable end/nut designs and are laser certified for ISO-1 and ISO-3 precision. Every major machine builder in Europe uses Shuton products to attain precision. These ball screws are customized one.
