Profile: Bedford Machine & Tool, Inc. provides services which include, die cast dies, large machining, CNC production, engineering, automation, power generation, and total solutions. We design and build aluminum dies. The software we use primarily at our facility is Unigraphics. Some of the things we have designed are automated machinery, trim machines for aluminum castings, leak testers, machining fixtures, and gages. We providing mechanical/electrical engineering, manufacturing, electrical fabrication, hydraulic and pneumatic fabrication, run-off, installation, and on-site services for custom automation and equipment. The items we make for the Crane Naval Base in Southern Indiana are components that go on battleships for the Crane Navy, such as battery brackets, camera mounts, and light stands. We have been working with the Crane Army side, fabricating various items such as the humvee armor kits, humvee roof gun turret openings, and communication trailers that mount on the back of humvees. We machine a large variety of large and complex castings for the power generation industry.
