It is a material with excellent electrical, mechanical and physical properties: excellent electrical insulating material; excellent oil absorption; excellent resistance to compression; good resistance to high working temperatures; good dimensional stability; and different specific weight according to the application. Ranprex is easy to process (with standard machines for wood processing); easy to assemble; and easy to stock. Within the electromechanical industry, especially in the field of energy distribution Ranprex is largely used in the transformer production for the manufacturing of complete support beams (up to 6000 mm); pressure and equipotentials rings (up to ? 2000 mm); coil pressers; complete step blocks; compression blocks; round and threaded bars and nuts M6 - M24; and every part which goes through particularly high stresses and shocks. Ranprex is available as plates with these standard sizes: 2500 x 1220 mm, 2050 x 1100 mm and thickness from 10 mm to 120 mm with tolerance -0, +2 mm.
