Profile: Blatek, Inc. designs & produces imaging arrays for a wide variety of applications and customers. We offer an extensive line of phased arrays using our proprietary piezocomposite, with single or double matching layers. We have the capabilities to custom design the array with unique frequencies, pitch/elevations, and overall size limitations. These concepts produce maximum sensitivity. Designs can be matched for immersion use or optimized to work in conjunction with various angle beam materials. All these offerings are placed in an efficient acoustic package that can be purchased by our customers, and can then be finished as desired. In addition, we can work with an agreed upon design, and place this acoustic package in a rugged stainless steel case with cable and specified connector. We develop integral NDT angle beam transducers that have demonstrated superior performance in the industrial market. Known as a barrel transducer, this piezocomposite matches to wedge style, and has given sensitivity and a signal-to-noise ratio of 10 dB. Frequencies available are from 0.5 MHz up to and including 10.0 MHz. Elements can be round, square, rectangular, or in whatever shape required. The angles can be shear or longitudinal, and can be placed in all package sizes with precise BIP to nose dimensions for the specifications.
