Profile: Bluearc Stud Welding specializes in stud welding construction line including headed concrete anchors, shear connectors and deformed bar anchors. Headed concrete anchors and shear connectors are used in tilt-up construction, precast panels, power plants, stadiums, bridge construction, parking garages & high rise buildings. Deformed bars are used in precast columns, tee & beam connections, seismic shear walls and securing steel plates to concrete structures. Our headed concrete anchors are used in all types of concrete connections. They can be welded to flat or vertical surfaces, or to the inside or outside of an angle. These are available in low carbon and weldable stainless steel. Out Type B studs are headed, bent or of other configurations that are used as an essential component in composite beam design in construction. Type A studs are general purpose studs. We offer various ferrules including full/pitch diameter, thru deck and pitch diameter ferrules. Ferrules are used for multiple purposes in stud welding. The ferrule helps to shield the arc from the operator. It minimizes the atmosphere that the flux must purge. The ferrule forms the molten metal into the fillet and the fillet vents allow weld gases to escape. Ferrules are disposable items and are cast in a mold out of a low grade moldable ceramic. They are taken out of the mold and are dried. Our deformed bar anchors are available in various sizes including 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" sizes. Type C studs are cold-worked deformed steel bars manufactured in accordance with ASTM A496 specifications having a nominal diameter equivalent to the diameter of a plain wire having the same weight per foot as that of the deformed wire.
