Profile: CB Power and Industrial Equipment specializes in offering Weis electrostatic precipitators (ESPs). Wet & dry electrostatic precipitators are proven performers on hot gas exhaust projects, as well as newer emerging technologies of biomass combustion (dry ESPs), or biomass gasification (wet ESPs). ESPs offer considerable advantages over conventional filtration systems because of their low energy demands, high operational reliability, and low maintenance requirements. Electrostatic precipitators can operate with or without an upstream cyclone separator. Weis technology can deliver a separation rate of more than 99%. In addition, we can offer laboratory pilot plant testing of actual gas streams, to determine the optimal configuration for the unique environmental application. Electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) are highly efficient filtration devices that remove particles from air and other streaming gasses using an induced electrostatic charge. The WEIS dry electrostatic precipitator can be used to remove microscopic dust particles from process exhaust gases. Dry electrostatic precipitator ( ESP ) devices are employed on hot process exhausts (250-850 deg.F) that operate above the dew point of the gas stream. Dry ESPs are used to collect dry dust particles such as wood, coal or incinerator ash or cement kiln exhaust. Dry electrostatic precipitator devices are attractive due to their ability to collect and transport the dust in a dry condition. Dry collection is always easier to handle than a wet slurry. Because of this, these units are ideal for hot gas dust extraction from boiler plants, mineral smelting, biomass projects and other chemical processes.
