Profile: Cal-miser Aluminum Systems is involved in the die-casing industry offering energy efficient gas-fired aluminum holding furnaces and stack melters. The design of our holding furnaces enclose all the components into one cabinet, varying the blower speed, coupled with a compact size and fuel economy. All mechanical components are mounted inside the cabinet, creating a dust-free environment. Our furnaces are available in six standard models from 1600-lb. to 3800-lb. bath sizes to meet the metal requirements of each individual die-casting machine. Maximum efficiency for the stack melter is achieved by using the heat and exhaust gases to preheat all the aluminum before escaping out the roof, eliminating the need for large bath sizes. All metal is preheated in the stack to prepare it for the hearth burners to heat to a liquid state. The metal then runs into the bath where it is super-heated to 1,350 degrees. This keeps bath temperature constant; staying within 10 degrees of set point. This results in hotter metal to our holders and better products. This furnace can be easily run at 2,800 to 2,000 lbs. per hour with one person.
