Dry type capacitors are used for power factor improvement. This module is designed for medium-heavy load industrial application. These are available in range from 2 kVAR to 25 kVAR, 440/415V. Product life is up to 80,000 hours. The capacitors are ISI approved and conform to IS 13340/13341 standards. It is chemically treated for rust and powder coated. It has tin-plated terminal stud which can withstand the electrical properties. Reduction in kVAR demand reduces excess power drawn from the sources. Reduction in voltage drop improves performance of electrical equipment. Reduction in line losses increase the efficiency of transformer. All these result in availability of more power, maintenance free and all power capacitors are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 1 year from the date of manufacture. While banking the units, it should be ensured that the total current in the busbar never exceeds 63 A.
