Cast Nylon
Cast Nylon is used for different industrial applications. It is a polymer with the strength of steel, weight of water, looks of a pearl and life of a rock. It offers extremely good wear resistance, coupled with high tensile strength and modulus of elasticity. Cast nylon also has high impact resistance, high heat distortion temperature, resist wear, abrasion, and vibration. In addition, it can sustain contact with a wide variety of chemicals & alkali, and dilutes acids or oxidizing agents. Another important factor, both economically and mechanically, is the relatively lighter weight of cast nylon (approximately 1/8 weight of bronze, 1/7 weight of the cast iron, and 1/2 weight of aluminum), which reduces both the inertial and static loads and eases the handling of large components during maintenance or replacement procedures. The cast nylon materials are available in the forms of stock-shapes like round, rectangular, square bars, tubes, blocks, sheets and in finished molded and machined components.
