Aluminum die casting tooling, are made of alloy tool steels in two sections, the fixed die half, (or cover half), and the ejector dies half, to permit removal of die castings. Aluminum auto parts are manufactured from a few hundred to thousands of auto parts a day. Many types of the automotive part are manufactured "net shape" to save the cost of misused resources and the additional labor of machining. Mounting holes are typically fashioned into the aluminum auto part during production. Die casting parts are made using the process known as die casting. Die casting uses a die casting machine and a die casting mold to make the parts. Melted metal is forced through a cylinder into a die that has the imprint of the part. We make about a part every minute. Aluminum die casting uses a cold chamber die casting machine, meaning the metal is in a furnace outside the die casting machine.
