Profile: Charter Steel is a supplier of carbon & alloy steel bar, rod and wire products. Our capabilities include steel melting, bar & rod rolling, coil processing and wire drawing. We also provide specialty steel, wire and milwaukee wire products. We are accredited with TS16949: 2002 and ISO 9001:2000 certifications. We are a manufacturer of special bar quality (SBQ) bar. We produce SBQ rod and bar ranging in sizes from 7/32 inches (5.5 mm) to 1-9/16" (39.7 mm) in diameter. Our 100-ton electric arc furnace vacuum arc degasser and four-strand billet caster are capable of producing 550,000 tons annually of clean, chemically precise billets in steel making.
