Description: Chemical Process Pumps comprise of horizontal single stage centrifugal pumps made up of SS 316 and polypropylene materials. The one-piece self-venting SS 316 volute casing comes with end suction and top centerline delivery branch. The polypropylene volute casing is 3-piece type with full metal back plate support and self-venting, with companion flange end connection. Both SS and polypropylene casings open towards drive end, and allow easy withdrawal of the bearing frame without disturbing the pipe work when using a spacer coupling. The semi-open radial impeller is specially designed for low NPSH requirement. It is hydraulically balanced by back vanes. Positive locking of impeller nut by means of threaded insert ensures reliable fixing of impeller on the shaft. A single piece heavy-duty shaft made up of full SS 316 material is used. All critical surfaces shaft made up of full SS 316 material is used. All critical surfaces are ground to less than 0.8 micron. The shaft sleeve is available with hastelloy, alloy 20, Teflon, SS 316 as per liquid specifications. The shaft sealing are provided with either packing or mechanical seals in stuffing box. External cooling is provided for longer seal life. The inboard bearing is single row, deep groove; outboard bearing is double row, deep groove angular contact type. The bearings are pressed on shaft and free to float axially in frame, and carry radial load only.
