Profile: Chlorine Generators, Inc. offers chlorine gas generators. Our i-chlor chlorine generator makes chlorine gas from ordinary salt. The salt mixes with water to make a brine solution. An electric current is then passed through the brine solution within a cell to make chlorine. Our system produces chlorine gas that is vacuumed out of the cell into a stream of water that carries the concentrated chlorine solution to the application. Our products are assembled kits from various manufacturers. The i-chlor model 1.7 system uses an optional automatic density maintenance system to maintain the optimum cathode-electrolyte concentration range. As the concentration of sodium hydroxide increases during the chlor-alkali process, the density of sodium hydroxide electrolyte also increases. The automatic density maintenance system monitors the density of the sodium hydroxide and supplies dilution water to the reservoir when the density exceeds the upper concentration level. The excess sodium hydroxide then overflows from the reservoir and is collected in a separate reservoir, or is injected into the water supply with the chlorine. We can also custom fabricate systems as per requirements.
