Closed-Cell Elastomeric Insulation
Description:
Vidoflex is a flexible and lightweight elastomeric material designed for thermal insulation and is available in the form of sheets and tubings. It is black in colour. The extruded flexible tubings are specially designed to fit standard diameters of copper, plastic, and steel tubes. It is suitable for application over a wide temperature range of -60°C to +105°C. The hermetic blister closed-cell structure forms an impermeable layer, which is in itself a good vapour barrier. Much lesser space is required for Vidoflex, as the thickness of insulation required to prevent condensation is minimum. The high water vapour diffusion coefficient of m3 7000 enables the usage of lower thickness of insulation. It also retards heat loss in hot water plumbing, dual temperature piping, and solar systems. Vidoflex is CFC, chlorine and fibre free and does not cause skin allergy. It is inert to majority chemicals. The extreme flexibility makes installation fast, easy, and economical. The inherent flexibility in Vidoflex makes it ideally suited for insulation of large surface areas such as tanks irregular shaped vessels, pumps, air ducts, and large diameter pipes.
