Coefficient of Friction Testers provide an accurate, repeatable, easy to perform test of the static and kinetic friction of plastic films and sheets. Tests can be performed with plastic sliding and other surfaces. It features the same rugged construction and the fixed sled speed of 6″ per minute detailed by the ASTM D1894 test procedure. It includes cutting templates to reduce sample preparation time, calibration tools to allow in-house system calibration. Serial cables are available to allow operation of 7100 Series friction testers to operate in digital mode or digital/Software mode. It provides the ease of use. It has a clamping method for attaching samples onto the moving plane.
