Concentrator system is a photovoltaic system. It is made up of modules including concentrating optical components. The objective of a concentrator system is to improve the PV module performance by increasing the sunlight intensity falling on the cell. This is achieved by reducing the area of the solar cells being used in the system, as they are the most expensive components of a PV system, on a per-area basis.
