Profile: Cospheric LLC is a manufacturer of custom polymer microspheres, microcoatings and microstructures. We specialize in developing and manufacturing custom microtechnology solutions for a variety of applications. We offer polyethylene microspheres customized for microparticle size, opacity, color, sphericity, internal and surface charge & magnetic properties. The spheres are supplied in dry powder form. Our spheres are thoroughly screened to prevent any dust, debris, and non-spherical microparticles. We stock clear (un-pigmented) microspheres, yellow green UV fluorescent spheres, and white polyethylene spheres. With short lead-times, we can easily manufacture microspheres in a desired color for any application. Custom microspheres can be made positively or negatively charged. Black microspheres can be made magnetic. Optional black magnetic coating on a portion of the microsphere can be manipulated to control microspheres with magnetic field. Full or partial coatings on microspheres offer additional colors, functionalities, triboelectric charge, surface & magnetic properties. We typically work with polycarbonate (PC) and polyetherimide (PEI) as thin as 50 microns. We have hands-on materials and microembossing expertise to develop a specific microreplication process for a polymer of the choice. We offer microstructure pattern design & materials development, process development, and small-scale microembossing for product design & testing. We can also apply precision thin coatings on microstructures, and have extensive experience with optically-clear laminations, encapsulations & adhesives. We are fully equipped to develop & manufacture microspheres and microcoatings to a wide variety of specifications, as well as produce fast prototypes of microstructures. All our equipment are custom designed & built, but scalable to roll-to-roll large volume manufacturing. Our custom microspheres can be used as fillers, carriers, or active ingredients in paints and coatings.
