Profile: Cranes Direct is a supplier of gantry cranes and jib cranes. An articulated jib crane may also be called a knuckle jib crane. In essence an articulated jib crane is similar to a conventional jib crane but with the addition of an extra, extended jib arm/boom. This is often called a forearm, which is fitted to the very end of the normal arm by means of a knuckle joint. It is this knuckle joint which allows the extra forearm to pivot and rotate through a wide arc. Double Girder Crane can be used in multiple applications.
