The bimetal hole saws have a 4/6 tooth variable pitch for cutting. They are used to drill metals, plastics, wood and other materials. The annular cutters cut only the periphery of the hole creating less stress on the drill motor. They have multiple cutting edges for increased feed speeds and a cleaner hole.
