By use of a set of gears, each stirring rod turns at exactly the same rate as the others. The stirring paddles keep the soil suspended in solution, thus assuring equal mixing of all types of samples regardless of their position in the tray or their texture. Our soil crushers are designed to prepare dry soil samples or similar materials for analysis. The average total preparation time for a sample is about 5 seconds, even for hard clay samples. They weigh approximately 45 lbs and their measurements are width 8", depth 17" and height 18".
