The cylinlock and metal cement undergo anaerobic (absence of oxygen) curing when confined between mating metal surfaces. Apart from the anaerobic curing, the Ultrabond 821 offers added flexibility when exposed to ultraviolet light. It enhances the performance of mechanical retaining methods such as splines, keyways, set screws and inference fits. The cylinlock helps in sealing the internal surfaces and preventing fretting corrosions. It distributes loading and prevents stress concentration even in the assembly of dissimilar material. It is highly chemical and temperature resistant; and easy to apply and clean, with no mixing required.
