Description: Calex 150 W HEW Series DC/DC converters are available now. The HEW series features an ultra-wide 4:1 input range to accommodate 12, 24, and 48V nominal input voltage requirements. Modules are available with either a 9 to 36V DC input range or an 18 to 75V DC input range. Output voltages available are 3.3, 5, 12, 15, and 24 V DC. The 150 W HEW is housed in an industry standard half brick case measuring 2.3″ x 2.4″ x 0.55 H. The module is fully encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound for superior thermal performance in a still air or limited airflow environment. The unit also has an aluminium baseplate to allow easy attachment of a heatsink or mounting of the module against an enclosure to further improve the thermal performance of the device. Calex offers a variety of bolt-on heatsink options for the HEW Series. The HEW is designed for PCB mount applications, however, a mounting kit is available for users requiring screw terminal connections. The case operating temperature range of the HEW module is -40 to 100°C. The storage range is -40 to 120°C. The device is protected through pulse by pulse current limiting, short circuit frequency foldback, dead short shutdown and thermal shutdown. All HEW modules are isolated input to output. The isolation voltage is 700 V DC for the 9-36 V input modules and 1544 V DC for the 18-75 V input modules. All modules in the 150 W HEW Series are RoHS compliant. Non-RoHS versions of the product are also available.
