Description: Speed-O-Controls' Mill Duty Dc Electromagnetic Brakes are suitable for 220 V DC supply used for a wide range of drum sizes for 100 to 800 mm diameter. These brakes are used when a load must be stopped rapidly to prevent the load from rotating dug-to the motor and load inertia at a select predetermined time or at a selected point of travel or to prevent over-traveling. It is offered in robust construction and simple design. It renders efficient transmission of breaking force and action. The brake shoes are designed for 70° angle for easy replacement without dismantling. All parts are easily accessible hence ensures quick maintenance; and are featured with easy adjustment of torque quickly, by adjustable nut. The magnet and coil brakes are provided with powerful and short stroke electromagnets. The magnetic gaps are adjusted by holding the end lock nut. The brake coils are provided with epoxy encapsulated coil with class 'F' insulation.
