Profile: Devon Metalcrafts Ltd. specializes in non-ferrous casting, using the lost wax process. We create a range of fine brass/bronze castings, covering brass ware for antique restoration, model making, film props, musical instruments, and classic car restoration. Our brass ingots are melted by high power induction generator or gas air furnace. The molten metal is then poured into the flasks filling all the holes left by the wax. Depending on the weight and size of the casting, this will be done by centrifuge or vacuum, to ensure that the liquid metal fills every cavity and detail. We make sword hilts, sword guards, daggers, and various other armoury components, buckles, and a variety of other items for use as film props.
