Description: Dial gauge comparator stand is used for comparing outside dimensions. The bracket of the comparator receives dia 8.00 mm stem of a measuring head (usually plunger type dial or electric probe). The enamelled base is made of cast iron 150 x 100 mm. The main supporting pillar is made of AISI410 stainless steel and is fitted at right angles to the enamelled main base. It is hardened and ground and is 24 mm in diameter. The measuring or test anvil is made of alloy steel and is 60 mm in diameter. It is fitted at right angles to the main pillar axis. It is micro lapped and optically flat. The dial holding bracket is provided with a screw and nut assembly for finer positioning of the dial while coarser positioning could be achieved by moving the total bracket assembly up or down on the main pillar manually. The (M-100) stand receives 100 mm dia workpiece while the (M-150) stand receives 150 mm dia workpiece. The throat depth is 62.5 mm in both the cases.
