Digital Soft Starters, DS4
The model DS4 series is the latest generation of micro controller based motor management and protection system for operating squirrel cage AC induction motors. The soft start and stop provides a linear power ramp for smooth, step less acceleration-reducing inrush current and excessive wear on mechanical drive train components. The DS4 series optimises the energy consumed by the motor running continuously under lightly loaded, or cyclic load conditions. Fast system payback can be realised by reduced maintenance, downtime and energy savings. Design features: RISC microcontroller based, reduces inrush current, reduces downtime, real time energy control, diagnostic display, improves power factor, program through keyboard, feather touch keys for parameter setting, 20 characters 2 line LCD display, over/under current and instant current trip, 12t fuse, single phasing, phase in sequence over/under load trip selectable, over/under voltage trip selectable and heat sink over temperature and has shorted SCR protection. The DS4 Series is available from 1 to 1000 HP for 3-phase, 415 V, 50 Hz, AC squirrel cage induction motors.
