Dowel Pullers remove dowel pins from cylinder heads, blocks, crankshafts and flywheels. It uses a downward motion with the sliding weight to lock the collet and an upward motion to pull the dowel. To release the collet, insert into the release stand and tap downward on the shaft end with a small hammer. It has adjustments to pull sizes of dowels. Vise-grip jaws hold firm while 4-lb and slide hammer forces dowels out. It also pulls pressed-in hollow tubes or frozen shafts.
