Downdraft Benches capture and filter dust, smoke & fumes and then return the filtered air to the shop floor. This process eliminates costly exhaust and energy loss. The principle of operation is state of the art, contaminated air being drawn down or back through the support grating, passing on through our filtering system, with the clean air being returned via a single stage heavy duty fan motor, to the work area. Hands free method of capturing pollutants at source have replaced more traditional roll around units with capture arms, as they are easier to use and are no more costly. Filter media can be selected to control dust from woodworking, plastics, composites, metal grinding and welding, as well as dust from mixing, batching and weighing. Down draft bench is used for removing welding smoke, metal grinding and deburring, dust collection from plastics and composite materials, odour control from gluing and painting, plasma cutting, powder mixing, soldering and finishing processes like buffing and polishing.
