Profile: Dyno One Inc. specializes in selling and servicing dynamometers. Our inductor dynamometer consists a rotor, stator and toroidal field coil. With the rotor driven by the test device, eddy currents are induced in the rotor opposing an equal electro-magnetic force generated in the restrained stator. This opposition causes a loading effect. Capable of precise control of this load, the inductor (eddy current) dynamometer is by far the most widely used method for power absorption. The DC dynamometer system is an adjustable voltage system using the DC dynamometer as a conventional DC shunt motor. When in the absorbing mode, power is returned to the AC line by inverter action. For motoring, power is taken from the three phase line, converted to DC and applied to the dynamometer armature circuit. Speed regulation is controlled by field weakening, where an increase in field current will reduce the dynamometer speed and a reduction in field current will increase the speed. We provide repair and remanufacturing service for many types of hydraulic dynamometers.
