Our products include extensometers, troptometers and fixtures & accessories. Extensometers use three kinds of linear measuring systems such as mechanical, electronic dial gages and linear variable differential transformers (LVDT) and linear encoded devices. The dial gages are simple and require no auxiliary equipment. The LVDT is precise & variable and provides electronic signaling through readout devices to the computer or plotter. The encoded devices are self contained for long-range measurement and generate an usable signal for recording. They are designed in a linear fashion to avoid typical cosine error, and the resultant need for mathematical correction. We offer a series of direct shear fixtures for round metal and plastic specimens. The fixtures are used in universal testing machines in the compression mode. The shear blades are oil hardening steel, hardened to RC60. The fixture consists of a sliding plate between two outside plates.
