Earth Bond Tester
Description: Earth Bond Tester is built to check the impedance of protective bonding (earth bond) of electrical equipment. It uses four wire techniques to measure impedance of the earthing system in the equipment under test. The four wire measuring technique eliminates the resistance of the test leads and hence gives more accurate results. It is micro-controller based test equipment, which indicates voltage, current and calculated impedance on a 16 x 2 alpha numeric jumbo LCD display. The equipment is enclosed in a cold rolled mild steel cabinet coated with hard epoxy paint to give a long lasting finish. The model AHCEBT-3015 gives an output of 15V and 30A maximum. The voltage needed to be supplied is 230V ± 10% 50 Hz AC. The maximum output current generated is 30A AC. The output voltage required is 15V AC (variable) and impedance varies as per current and voltage (10 ohm maximum). Four probes of clip type are supplied with the equipment two for the current and two for the voltage measurement. Two double wire probes are also available for fast measurement of impedance.
