Description:
ECT Inspection System, TX 4200 is based on the Eddy current technique to quickly and accurately inspect non-ferrous metal tubing from the tube ID. Two-frequency system can detect and size ID/OD pitting as well as baffle cutting, erosion, steam impingement, and general wall losses. The system has differential and absolute responses for each frequency. The system also has a built-in reference signal to generate an absolute signal without the use of a reference probe. TX 4200 electronics box is coupled with an IBM compatible laptop computer to operate the system through Windows-based software. The universal bus system based communication to PC allows sample rates up to 12,000 samples/second/channel. The system has a frequency range from I kHz to 1200 kHz; real-time mixing is available for suppression of support/baffle plates. The system may view absolute and differential modes at the same time. Electronic boards are designed for independent operation to permit easier troubleshooting, repair and expansion. Advantages include wide frequency range of 1 kHz to 1200 kHz, electronics less than 5 pounds, and system dimensions of H x W x L = 3.5" x 8" x 11 ". It can operate with a pusher/puller system Windows-based software and 110/220V operation. TesTex offers TX4200 ECT inspection system.
