Profile: EnCana is a natural gas producer. We also engage in the in-situ recovery of oilsands bitumen. Our primary focus is on the development of resource plays. Resource plays are large contiguous accumulations of hydrocarbons that typically have lower geological and commercial development risk, lower long-term average production decline rates and long producing lives compared to conventional plays.
