The control system has standard charge algorithms built into it for all major battery chemistries, but may also be flash reprogrammed for custom applications. The ICS charger is available as a board-level component or enclosed in a compact protective housing. The SBS-3002 is a two bay, stand-alone battery charger that is compliant with the standard smart battery system. This level 3 smart battery charger can charge any type of battery chemistry provided that the pack adheres to the system management bus (SMBus) specifications.
