Profile: Environmental Waste Management Systems, Inc. manufactures a patented, scalable, EPA compliant household decentralized wastewater treatment system, called ESIS. It's resulting effluent is is equal to that of a central sewer treatment facility and above that of traditional septic and cesspool systems. We treat wastewater by utilizing proven technologies such as aerobic and anaerobic processes. The first two chambers are anaerobic chambers, which hold special filtration materials used to separate solids from influent. Nutritional waste is decomposed by anaerobic bacteria, which forms on the surface of the filter material. In the third chamber, organic substances are eliminated through bio-degradation (oxidation) by aerobic microorganisms attached to the contact media. The contact media in the third chamber is also specifically designed for use within the ESIS. The fourth chamber is a settling chamber where the particles that are remaining will settle to the bottom of the tank and will not be discharged out of the system. The last chamber is a disinfection chamber where measured amounts of chlorine is added to the effluent to scrub the wastewater and minimize the bacteria & create a sterile and stable quality of water. We manufacture the ESIS wastewater treatment system in numerous sizes for different applications. For a residential home, we offer the ESIS in Models 950, 1300 and 1700. These systems will treat 600-1000 gallons per day (GPD). Requirements for GPD vary from state to state. Individual ESIS are stand alone package units that are like a smaller version of the large municipal Central Treatment Plant.
