Description: Epoxy-Based Red Oxide Zinc Phosphate Primer is a generic type, two component primer. This primer comprises of phosphate as corrosion inhibiting pigment. These primers is suitable for various fertilizer, refineries, chemical and other plants applied in diverse areas of tank exteriors, equipment, pipelines and structural steel. The application details includes : mixing ratio (bt vol) - base 3, harder 1; pot life - 6 - 8 hrs at 25ºC; applications method - by brush, by spray; thinner - type 002, type 002-recommended dry film thickness 30-35 microns; over coating intervals-min 8 hrs, max 24 hrs; and compatibility - can be top coated with epoxy, PU, CR top coats. The specifications includes: physical constants - colour red oxide, finish flat - solids by volume 40%; theoretical spreading rate 11.4-13.3 sq.m/1tr at recommended DFT on smooth and non-absorbent surface; flash point above 25ºC, drying characteristics - dry to touch 1-1 ½ hr, dry to handle 24 hrs, fully cured 7 days, and shelf life - 9 months (of individual components) - stored under proper condition of temperature and pressure.
