Description: Epoxy cast resin products are available for the transformer and switchgear industry. These have excellent electrical, mechanical and thermal properties suitable for all media like air, oil and SF6. Cast resin components are used from 400 V to 33 kV in air, up to 66 kV in oil and 220 kV in other media such as SF6. These components are manufactured at the company's plant with either pressure gelation method or with traditional vacuum casting technique. Generally, the epoxy components manufactured can be classified into three categories as per their application. They are insulators, bushings and specific components for specific application. The insulators are normally of standard shapes and can be adopted by any switchgear industry. The application is from 400V to 33 kV. These are normally used for supporting bus bars and are called bus bar support insulators. These insulators are of different shapes and sizes depending on the bus bar size and the voltage rating. The bushings are normally used to insulate the body of the equipment while the bus bar is passed through the insulation and the termination is taken out.
