Our products include electrode holders, contact pads, water-cooled furnace cables, mast arms, cable conversion, hot arms, bus bar systems and bus tubes. Our electrode holder is made from electrolytic cast copper. The cooling system is provided by a cast-in cooling coil. The clamping lever and shoe design are common for this equipment. Copper castings are repairable and have a furnace life provided the cooling pipe is schedule 80 monel 400 or equivalent. Contact pads reduce the amount of copper-electrode contact area. It is therefore to keep closer tolerances on machined surfaces and maintain the proper clamping force. Contact pads are used in many diverse design applications. It is manufactured from either copper forgings with drilled-in cooling ports or from copper castings with cast-in monel cooling coils.
