Description: Multi-Functional Extensometer is used to test data from tensile, compression, flexure and hysteresis. The tests can be determined both at ambient temperature and in temperature chambers. The multiXtens has two respective three movable slides on which the measurement heads are mounted and which are very precisely guided by a new developed linear unit (mineral cast). In its basic version, the multiXtens is equipped with two measurement heads allowing test travel measurement of 700mm. For a minimum initial test travel of 10 mm, the multiXtens determines values with a resolution of 0.2 µm. Optionally, a reduction in width monitor and a fine precision extensometer can be adapted via the third measurement head. This is of particular importance for metals tests with the determination of the Young's modulus of elasticity, the determination of 'r' and 'n' valves and for the determination of the tensile modulus on plastics. With the measurement and control electronics test control the extensometer multi Xtens can be operated fully automatically. Settings on the multiXtens shows its strength mainly during tests on plastics and metals (high resolution at a high elongation).
