Our product lifecycle contains product design, manufacturing, product collection, material sourcing, product use and recycling technology. Our semiconductor material is used in solar PV modules which is sourced from the byproducts of mining operations. Solar PV modules incorporate micron amounts of cadmium telluride (CdTe) - about 1-2% of the semiconductor material used in typical crystalline silicon solar modules. Once compounded and encapsulated in solar modules, CdTe proves optimal for converting sunlight to useful electricity. Our product collection and recycling is an integral part of solar's product offering, therefore the collection and recycling program is designed to maximize collection rates and amounts of material recycled, at no additional cost. At the time each module is sold, funding is set aside to meet the estimated future collection and recycling costs of each module at the end of its useful life. The funds are placed into custodial accounts in the name of a trustee and can only be accessed for the purpose of product collection and recycling.
