Flat Finishers are designed to finish flat surfaces including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, rubber, mica, wood, carbon, and even paper. Using abrasive belts, wheels, or brushes, they will accomplish stock removal, fine finishing, deburring, and scale or oxide removal. It includes an abrasive conveyor belt, variable speed conveyor drive, steel platen, one urethane-coated upper pulley and one steel or neoprene contact roll per head & single hold-down rolls. These are high production surfacing machines, different from precision machines such as surface grinders.
