Description: Fluid bed dryer has been manufactured for better working conditions. General construction: all contact parts are made of SS or can be made as per requirement out of MS/SS-304/316; all SS construction and GMP model are also available. Operational features: the fluid bed dryer is most suitable for drying crystalline, granular, coarse and fine material; the wet material is kept in product container, the perforated plate at the bottom works as air distributor and has fine wire mesh which retains the product in the container; the blower mounted on the top of the FBD will create induced draft and air is sucked into the unit which will pass through 5 micron; and air filter will get heated through steam or electrical heating element - this hot air passes through the product container and therefore the turbulence in the product is obtained and hence the product moves up and down in the product container which is called fluidsation; due to this the heat transfer is very quick and product is dried very fast. The moisture from product is carried away by the air through filter bag. Filter bag prevents the particles escaping from the dryer. Salient features: small space required; ultimate for heat sensitive products; less rotating parts so less maintenance; best for crystalline and free flowing products; uniform drying results in faster drying; electric or steam heated; batch size from 30 kg to 500 kg.
